The Word from the LORD of Hosts to Zechariah
The 5:00 AM Meeting after the Promise. Just last night, at 11:12 PM I hit the publish button on my dashboard and released a fierce promise to the universe. “I know I use the words ‘fear porn’ often, but as far as I am concerned fear porn is the most dangerous weapon today! So, I promise I will continue to use it!!! Awake at my usual 5 AM time for my first cup of coffee, and quiet time while everyone else is still sleeping. Today, I just randomly opened my Bible to Zechariah Chapter 1. Just like John 19:30, like a bolt of lightning, a Damascus Moment, “The Word of the LORD….”
Therefore, say to them, Thus declares the LORD of Hosts: Return to Me, says the LORD of Hosts, and I will return to you, says the LORD of Hosts (Zechariah 1:3 ESV)
He was doing it again! The LORD of Hosts was calling an immediate meeting with me, when the Holy Spirit hammers the executive gavel three times flat, take note, it isn’t text noise; it is a supreme signature. The Commander of the entire heavenly multi-dimensional army is throwing down His baselined seal to back up my promise and clear the workspace so we can hear the pure, original definitions.
Slicing Through the Toxic “Jealousy” Lie
The modern legalistic structures and the false prophecy preachers love to stand behind expensive pulpits pushing a twisted, terrifying interpretation of God’s character. They project human brokenness onto the infinite Father, using words like “Jealousy” as a high-voltage weapon of control. They try to make you believe that God’s jealousy is a toxic, insecure flaw–painting Him as a furious corporate executive sitting behind a spreadsheet checklist, waiting to drop an eviction notice on your desk the second you fail an audit. But Zechariah 1:14 completely shatters that corporate cage:
…Cry out, Thus says the LORD of Hosts: I am exceedingly jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion… (Zechariah 1:14b ESV)
When the Commander of the heavenly hosts declares He is jealous for you, it doesn’t mean He is angry at your limitations; it means He possesses an unconfined, fiercely defensive, and absolute locker-locked obsession with protecting your borders!
Slicing Through the Unfamiliar Matrix
The tragic reality today is that we have gotten so far away from the raw, unfiltered Word of God that we have become completely unfamiliar with His true voice. Because we stopped opening the book for ourselves in the quiet hours of the morning, we stopped passing the true definitions and legacy down to our children and grandchildren. This multi-generational silence left our gates wide open for the false teachers and legalistic wolves to move in with their high-voltage “fear porn” weapons. We became so thoroughly conditioned by their institutional checklists that we actually started to think just like them–believing the lie that our Creator is a cold corporate manager waiting to evict us when our numbers don’t balance.
But what these fear-mongers will never tell you is how much absolute FUN it is to actually understand the true, original language of the Bible! When you put their religious matrices on a leash, the scriptures stop being a terrifying cage and transform into a living, breathing Damascus Road. You realize that the same Sovereign Commander who parts the security ropes of history for a family wheelchair brigade, is the One who has been relentlessly pursuing your spirit from before Day 5 of Creation, and that is a baseline of pure joy that no corporate takeover can ever steal from your lap!
The Fraying of the Cages
To explain His great jealousy correctly is to understand that it is a love so intense that it functions as a relentless rescue operation. Zechariah looks through the veil and sees hidden scouts patrolling the bottom valleys, ensuring the baseline layout of the earth is perfectly steady while you rest. And when the angel cries out over the seventy years of captivity and trauma His people faced, the LORD of Hosts doesn’t answer with legalistic restrictions or threats of “Divorce.” Verse 13 explicitly records that He answers with:
good words and comfortable words
The chapter closes with four terrifying “horns”–the heavy earthly empires, the family rejections, the hospital floor traumas, and the corporate matrices that tried to scatter and cage the independent soul. But the True Bridegroom brings in four craftsmen who arrive to cast out, fray, and completely smash those horns. His jealousy is the actual fire that burns up their security ropes until they naturally drop right off your ankles, leaving your vessel safely enclosed inside a defended city that no corporate takeover can ever break.
This is the true description of the Loving Pursuer who pursues each and every one of us from before Day 5 Creation–the same then, today, and through eternity. He is the Cleansing Fountain and the Pierced Son whom every eye on earth will one day behold. The corporate wizards want to box His grace inside a checklist, but the baseline promise of Genesis remains unchanged at the head of my homepage:
ALL will know ME
His unconditional passion will not rest until the entire sandbox of creation is restored to His Peace.
