The Miracle Floating in Your Glass
Hey friend! Have you ever stood at your kitchen sink, filled up a glass of water, and realized you were holding a cosmic secret in your hand? We tend to look for God only in massive, booming mountaintop experiences or deeply complex theological textbooks. But the truth is, the Creator didn’t hide His identity from us. He hardcoded the ultimate reality of who He is directly into the most basic chemistry of our everyday lives.
Think about ordinary water:
H2O
It is a single, identical substance. Yet it can exist in three completely distinct forms right before out eyes:
- Liquid: The refreshing water you drink to stay alive.
- Solid: The ice cubes clinking in your glass.
- Gas/Vapor: The invisible mist rising from your hot coffee.
Three totally different expressions, yet entirely the exact same substance.

For centuries, people have strained their brains trying to wrap their minds around the Trinity–how God can be the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit all at once. But God left a beautiful, gentle cheat sheet floating in your glass. Just like water, the Father is the invisible source, the Son is the physical expression we can see and touch, and the Spirit is the breath of Life moving all around us. You don’t need a theology degree to know Him. You just have to slow down, look at the world around you, and realize that His presence is as close, warm, and natural as the water running from your tap.
